Parasites Don't Always Look Like Parasites
Most dog owners picture the same thing when they hear the word “parasites”:
A skinny dog. Constant diarrhea. Or obvious worms sitting in the backyard.
So when your dog is still eating, playing, begging for treats and acting mostly normal, parasites probably aren't the first thing you think about.
But intestinal parasite infections don't always announce themselves that clearly.
Some dogs develop obvious digestive problems. In others, the signs may be milder, intermittent, or easy to confuse with everyday stomach issues.
Not seeing worms doesn't automatically tell you what's happening inside your dog's gut.
